Blue Marbled Yarn bowl

I just love making these yarn bowls. I have to say though, I can’t knit or crochet for the life of me! Amy asked me to make her one and that was it, I had to make more. Then you guys started buying them by the dozen . . .  and the rest is history.

These come in a variety of glaze finishes, sizes and shapes. Some have a foot if you prefer your bowl to sit steadily on a table. Some come without a foot if you like the bowl nestled amongst your cushions while you’re sitting on the sofa.

This particular bowl has a flat area at the bottom instead of a foot so it will sit steady or nestle nicely.  The inside has a very rich deep blue glaze that beautifully offsets the un-glazed outside, exposing the spiralling, marbled clays this bowl is made from. When my 12-year-old son Jack, saw this bowl, he immediately said he wanted one. The only exception,  no split in the rim for the yarn (he also doesn’t knit!).
