Making pottery cups

Tuesday Evening Beginner Class 5 - 7 pm

About the class: This class is for beginners and covers some fundamentals of pottery production.

The techniques that students will learn include pinch pots, coil building, slab construction, and throwing on the pottery wheel. These techniques will enable students to create different forms and vessels with clay.

Throughout the course, students will also learn about various surface decoration techniques such as carving, stamping, and glazing. These techniques allow students to personalize and embellish their pottery pieces.

By the end of the course, students will have gained the skills and knowledge to create functional objects and sculptural ceramics using a range of different techniques. They will have a deeper understanding of clay as a medium and its potential for artistic expression.
