KudoClay Workshops in January 2026
Welcome to our
Workshops
for January 2026!
We are running two workshops this month, ‘Making a Slip Casting Mould’ and, back by popular demand 4 years running, ‘Glaze Development’.
Plaster Mould-Making for Slip Casting
17 & 18 January 2026
Over the weekend, we’ll design and make a three-piece plaster slip-casting mould, then use it to cast a simple vessel suitable for a cup, tumbler, or small jar. The form is kept intentionally simple so the focus stays on understanding mould logic, parting lines, and clean construction.
This 2 day workshop is ideal if you’ve been wanting to properly understand how slip-casting moulds are planned, made, and used — and to leave not only with the confidence to repeat the process on your own, but also with a fully functional slip cast mould.

Glaze Development for Cone 6
24 & 25 January
This is a workshop we’ve run several times by popular demand, and one many of you will recognise.
Across two days we’ll work through practical methods for modifying and developing glazes, including structured testing approaches and strategies for understanding how changes affect results. This is a hands-on, studio-focused workshop.
If you have been wanting a specific glaze but unable to find it, here is your chance to discover how to develop it yourself, to your specifications.
