Our classes cater to all experience levels. We offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes. If you’re new to pottery, our beginner classes are perfect for you. We also recommend completing a beginner hand-building class for those new to clay before joining a wheel-throwing class.
For our beginner classes, we provide all the necessary tools and materials. Clay, glazes, and firing costs are also included in the beginner class enrolment fee.
For the Open classes, you can either bring your own clay and/or glazes, or you can purchase them from us. We recommend all student start to build up their own tool kits, especially if you intend to work from home in between classes. This said, the KudoClay studio is very well stocked in a wide range of quality tools and equipment for student use.
Pottery requires time to dry, fire, and glaze, so your work will typically be available for pickup in 4–5 weeks after the class. We’ll let you know when your pieces are ready for collection.
Pottery classes are hands-on and designed for individual learning. If you’d like to book a private session or a group experience, we offer team-building workshops where friends and colleagues can create together. Feel free to get in touch for more details.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. Pottery involves working with clay, so it’s best to wear old clothes or an apron to protect your outfit.
Yes! We sell a range of pottery tools, equipment, and supplies in our studio. If you’re interested in purchasing anything, just ask your tutor, and we’ll provide more information.
